Position Summary

The Housing Stability Coordinator at Scc works hands-on with individuals and families in Minneapolis to identify housing barriers, connect them with resources, and build plans that promote long-term residential security. This full-time position centers on practical intervention, landlord collaboration, and ongoing follow-up so clients can remain housed and thrive in their neighborhoods.

Core Duties

• Conduct thorough housing needs assessments and create tailored stability action plans with each client
• Coordinate access to rental assistance, community supports, and emergency resources to prevent eviction or displacement
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with landlords, property managers, and local service partners
• Provide brief intervention and problem-solving to resolve tenancy issues before they escalate
• Track client progress, maintain accurate case documentation, and update databases in a timely manner
• Facilitate referrals to employment, financial, and wellness programs that reinforce housing success
• Advocate for clients during housing applications, lease negotiations, and any related hearings or mediations

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in case management, housing navigation, homeless services, or a closely related social-services field
• Strong interpersonal and crisis-de-escalation skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Knowledge of local Minneapolis and Minnesota housing systems, tenant rights, and available community supports
• Excellent organizational habits, including managing caseloads, deadlines, and detailed client records
• Comfortable communicating clearly in person, by phone, and in writing with clients, landlords, and partner agencies
• Self-motivated team player who thrives in a community-facing role and is committed to housing justice
