Role Overview

The role of a Housing Enforcement Officer involves carrying out duties related to the regulation and enforcement of private sector housing and licensing. This is a full-time position based in Barking Town Hall, with a requirement to work 3 days per week on-site.

• Pay Rate: £60 an hour
• Hours: 36 hours a week (Monday to Friday)
• Duration: Initial 6-month contract
• Location: Office-based from Barking Town Hall, with hybrid working options
• Must have own vehicle for travel

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The role involves a range of duties including:

• Enforcing housing and licensing regulations in the private sector
• Conducting inspections and investigations as necessary
• Issuing notices and warnings to ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all activities
• Collaborating with other enforcement agencies and stakeholders

• A valid UK driving license and own vehicle for work-related travel
