Position Summary

The Head of Department, Wardrobe for Mad Apple at Cirquedusoleil is a pivotal role in the creative and technical aspects of our production. This position oversees all wardrobe-related activities to ensure seamless costume design, fit, and maintenance for performers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the wardrobe department to support the overall vision and artistic direction of Mad Apple performances.
• Collaborate with designers, choreographers, and other departments to conceptualize and implement costume designs that align with show themes and requirements.
• Ensure timely and efficient production of costumes for rehearsals and performances, including fittings and alterations.
• Oversee the budgeting and procurement process for wardrobe items, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Supervise staff in the maintenance and care of costumes to ensure longevity and performance readiness.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head of Wardrobe or equivalent leadership role in live entertainment, theatre, or dance productions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various departments.
• Knowledge of costume design principles, fit, and construction techniques.
• Experience in budget management and procurement processes within a creative environment.
