About the Role
You'll work on our Progressive Care Unit, which cares for stable but medically complex patients who require attentive monitoring and skilled nursing intervention. This is a full-time position with 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts, rotating nights including every third weekend and holiday coverage. No on-call duty is required.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration under supervision
- Respond to patient needs and maintain a safe, comfortable care environment
- Document care activities and patient information accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care coordinators to support comprehensive treatment plans
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning with your team
- Develop clinical judgment, technical skills, and professional relationships in a mentored setting
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Current or pending Illinois nursing licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Willingness to embrace a learning mindset in your first nursing role
