Graduate Fund Accountant

Join Prescient as a Graduate Fund Accountant in our Cape Town City Centre office. This is a full-time position supporting our Fund Administration team in delivering financial accuracy and compliance across our investment fund operations.

About the Role

As a Fund Accountant at Prescient, you will enter a structured, professionally-led environment where precision, attention to detail, and systematic thinking matter. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse daily asset price movements to ensure accurate fund valuations
• Investigate pricing exceptions and reconciliation variances, identifying root causes and resolving discrepancies
• Perform daily and period-end reconciliation of fund accounts
• Support fund administration tasks including NAV calculations and fund reporting
• Assist with regulatory compliance documentation and fund governance
• Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to audit readiness

Requirements

• Recent graduate or early-career professional (0–2 years in finance or accounting)
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software and financial systems
• Strong numerical accuracy and ability to work methodically through detail
• Professional communication and ability to work effectively within a team
• Willingness to develop knowledge of fund accounting principles and investment fund operations
