General Maintenance Manager (Multi-Family Housing) at Pratum Companies in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
About This Position
The General Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance and in-house and contract repair work across several affordable housing multi-family properties and scattered sites in Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Myers. Responsibilities include ensuring systematic, comprehensive, and consistent processes and practices across the portfolio to maintain safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for multiple properties
- Manage in-house and contract repair work
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and address them proactively
- Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management for multi-family properties
- PMP or similar certification preferred but not required
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with property management software and tools
- Affordable housing experience a plus
