The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Community Manager to oversee leasing operations at our affordable housing community governed by HUD/Section 8 regulations. This role will involve helping lead the team, ensuring full occupancy, maintaining compliance with Section 8 requirements, and delivering exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee leasing operations in accordance with HUD/Section 8 guidelines
• Help lead a team of leasing agents and administrative staff
• Evaluate and recommend strategies for increasing occupancy and resident satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with all Section 8 regulations and reporting requirements
• Ensure excellent customer service to both current and prospective residents
• Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling and coordination of events and activities

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in community management or a related field
• Familiarity with HUD/Section 8 regulations and compliance procedures
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle sensitive situations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
