The Township of Pine is hiring a General Laborer for a Summer Seasonal role in Wexford, Allegheny County — a hands-on, full-time opportunity to help keep our parks and public spaces in great shape throughout the busy summer months.
About the Role
As a Summer Seasonal General Laborer, you will join the Township of Pine's Public Works Department to assist with everyday upkeep, grounds care, and seasonal improvement work. Assignments span Pine Community Park, the Municipal Building Complex, and other Township facilities across Wexford. This is an active, outdoor position well suited to dependable individuals who enjoy physical work and take pride in well-maintained community spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and routine upkeep at Township parks, buildings, and grounds
- Handle groundskeeping duties such as mowing, trimming, planting, and litter removal
- Support seasonal improvement and facility enhancement projects
- Assist Public Works staff at various locations throughout the Township of Pine
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely and responsibly
Qualifications
- Energetic, reliable, and able to perform physical, outdoor labor
- Willingness to work a full-time seasonal schedule (Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday)
- Availability for early shift start times beginning at 6:30 a.m.
- A strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $16 per hour
- Full-time seasonal hours
- Schedule options: Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday
- Shift beginning at 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
