About the Role
As the Hair and Makeup Supervisor, you'll oversee the hair and makeup operations for theatrical and operatic productions. What You'll Do
- Manage hair and makeup preparation for cast members before performances
- Ensure consistency of makeup and hairstyles across multiple shows and cast rotations
- Maintain an organized makeup and hair supplies inventory
- Train and guide other makeup and hair personnel as needed
- Coordinate with costume, lighting, and design departments to ensure cohesive production aesthetics
- Troubleshoot hair and makeup issues that arise during technical rehearsals and performances
- Document makeup and hairstyle specifications for continuity and future reference
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a hair and makeup professional, ideally in theater or performance environments
- Strong knowledge of stage makeup application and hair styling techniques
- Experience managing teams or supervising other makeup and hair staff
- Ability to work under pressure during rehearsals and live performances
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach to working with artists and production teams
