General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer (73027)

Women's Care, a nationally recognized women's healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer to lead its legal and compliance function in Tampa, Hillsborough County. This full-time, on-site leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the legal strategy of one of the country's premier providers of women's health services.

About the Role

As General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, you will serve as the senior legal advisor to executive leadership, overseeing all legal matters and directing a robust corporate compliance program. Based at Women's Care in Tampa, you will help safeguard the organization as it continues to deliver exceptional care across obstetrics, gynecology, and related specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to executives, the board, and operational leaders on a broad spectrum of corporate, regulatory, and healthcare matters.
• Design, implement, and oversee the enterprise-wide compliance program, ensuring adherence to applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
• Manage contracts, transactions, risk, and litigation, coordinating with outside counsel where appropriate.
• Advise on corporate governance, policy development, and ethical standards across all locations.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory requirements affecting the women's healthcare industry and translate them into actionable guidance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Significant experience in corporate law and healthcare compliance, ideally within a multi-site provider environment.
• Proven leadership in building or directing a compliance program and managing legal affairs at a senior level.
• Strong judgment, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time in Tampa, Hillsborough County.
