Audacy, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time News Reporter/Anchor (KCBS-AM All News Radio) to join its award-winning newsroom in Chinatown, San Francisco. If you live for breaking news, sharp storytelling, and the energy of an all-news format, this on-site role puts you at the heart of Bay Area journalism.
About the Role
As a Full-Time News Reporter/Anchor for KCBS-AM All News Radio, you will report directly to the News Brand Manager within the News department. This is an on-site, full-time position based in San Francisco, California, covered under the SAG-AFTRA collective bargaining agreement. You will both gather stories in the field and anchor live coverage on air, helping listeners stay informed around the clock.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and deliver accurate, timely news reports for broadcast on KCBS-AM.
- Anchor live newscasts with clarity, authority, and a conversational on-air presence.
- Cover breaking news, developing stories, and local events across the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Conduct interviews, verify facts, and produce compelling audio content under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with editors, producers, and fellow reporters to shape daily coverage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in news reporting and/or on-air anchoring, ideally in radio or broadcast journalism.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with a commitment to journalistic accuracy.
- Ability to work calmly and decisively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven all-news environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chinatown, San Francisco, including coverage of breaking news as needed.
- Eligibility to work under the SAG-AFTRA agreement.
Compensation
Per SAG-AFTRA pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting hourly range for California-based candidates is $37.6312 to $41.3462 per hour.
