About the Role
This position blends anchoring with multimedia journalism. You'll serve as a morning news co-anchor, then transition to reporting and producing multimedia stories throughout the day. You'll have the opportunity to shape editorial direction, investigate important stories, and connect directly with viewers across broadcast and digital platforms in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Co-anchor morning newscasts with professionalism, clarity, and viewer engagement
- Report, shoot, and produce multimedia stories for broadcast and digital platforms
- Research, investigate, and develop original story ideas serving the community
- Conduct field interviews and gather information on deadline
- Contribute to newscast production and editorial planning as needed
- Collaborate across the newsroom to ensure consistent quality and coverage
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a television journalist, reporter, or anchor with on-air experience
- Exceptional storytelling ability and sound journalistic judgment
- Confident, credible on-camera presence
- Proficiency in multimedia production—video, photography, and digital content creation
- Ability to report effectively across broadcast, web, and social platforms
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Capability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom
- Knowledge of journalism ethics and AP style standards
- Commitment to community-focused, public-interest journalism
