Fire Alarm Systems Technician

Siemens is hiring a Fire Alarm Systems Technician in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm and emergency notification systems for commercial and industrial customers throughout the greater El Paso and Las Cruces region.

About the Role

As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you'll be part of Siemens' Buildings team, supporting our Albuquerque, New Mexico branch location. This is a full-time position that combines hands-on technical work with customer service and system expertise. You'll work on a variety of fire alarm technologies and building safety systems that protect lives and property across our service area.

What You'll Do

• Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems and emergency notification equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with local codes and standards
• Diagnose and repair system faults, malfunctions, and performance issues
• Program and configure alarm panels and sensors for new installations
• Document all work performed, including system designs, test results, and maintenance records
• Communicate with customers about system functionality, scheduling, and safety procedures
• Respond to service calls and emergency requests from customers
• Work collaboratively with electricians, contractors, and other building professionals

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience installing, servicing, or maintaining fire alarm systems
• Knowledge of fire alarm technologies, alarm protocols, and building safety codes
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system documentation
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel within the service area (El Paso, Las Cruces, and surrounding regions)
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Physical ability to work at heights, crawl in confined spaces, and lift equipment as needed
