Finance Acceleration Associate

Highmark Health seeks a Finance Acceleration Associate to join our team in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County. This full-time position offers a structured three-year career development program designed to accelerate your growth toward Senior and Lead Analyst roles within our finance organization.

The Opportunity

Finance Acceleration Associates at Highmark Health participate in a comprehensive three-year program built to identify and develop talented finance professionals. You'll work alongside experienced mentors and senior finance leaders, building the technical expertise and business acumen required to advance into senior-level roles. This position emphasizes continuous learning, hands-on experience, and exposure to diverse financial operations across our organization. You'll be based in Pittsburgh, working on-site three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Core Duties

• Support financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting across business units and departments
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators
• Assist in developing financial models and analytical tools to drive business decisions
• Contribute to budgeting, planning, and cost management initiatives
• Execute process improvements that strengthen financial accuracy and operational efficiency
• Participate in mentored training sessions and professional development programs

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems and databases
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
