About the Role

As a Federal Project Manager at Black & Veatch, you'll oversee complex, mission-critical projects serving federal government clients. You'll drive project success from initiation through completion, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Direct all phases of federal government projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver results on schedule and within budget
• Manage federal contracts, compliance requirements, and documentation standards specific to government work
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt project scope as needed
• Communicate project status, deliverables, and challenges to government stakeholders and internal leadership
• Ensure projects meet technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing government or federal contracts and projects
• Strong background in project management, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex timelines
• Knowledge of federal compliance requirements, procurement processes, and government agency protocols
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, IPMA, or DBIA preferred
