Estimator – Gas Division

Quanta Services, through its operating company Flare Construction, LLC, is seeking a full-time Estimator – Gas Division to support our heavy construction and energy projects across the western United States from our Murray, Salt Lake County location.

About the Role

As an Estimator for our Gas Division, you'll play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of major energy and infrastructure projects. Working with our project management and operations teams, you'll develop accurate project estimates, analyze costs, and prepare competitive bids that win work and drive profitability.

What You'll Do

• Review project plans, specifications, and scopes of work to determine material and labor requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for gas infrastructure, pipeline, and related construction projects
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and material surveys using project drawings and site conditions
• Solicit and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and engineering staff to refine estimates and validate assumptions
• Track historical costs and project data to improve estimating accuracy over time
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and customer requirements

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy construction, civil construction, or energy sector work
• Strong knowledge of materials, labor costs, and construction methods relevant to pipeline and gas infrastructure
• Proficiency with estimating software and CAD programs
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and attention to detail
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
