Clean Harbors is hiring a full-time Environmental Field Laborer – Emergency Response (Travel) in South Plainfield, Middlesex County, New Jersey, to support hands-on hazardous waste and site cleanup work. About the Role

As an Environmental Field Laborer on our Emergency Response team, you'll be stationed in the field, carrying out the physical work that keeps remediation projects moving. This is a travel-oriented position based out of South Plainfield, NJ, where each assignment can bring a different worksite and challenge. You'll work alongside a crew that treats safety as the foundation of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on tasks tied to hazardous waste removal and cleanup operations
• Support site remediation efforts across various field locations
• Carry out equipment decontamination to maintain safe, compliant conditions
• Handle and manage hazardous materials according to established safety standards
• Travel to assigned sites and respond to emergency cleanup needs as required

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required
• Willingness to travel and work actively in the field
• Availability for a Monday through Friday schedule with an average start time around 6:00 AM
• A safety-focused mindset and readiness for physically demanding work
