Radiology Technical Aide – Radiology Diagnostic, Part Time

Dartmouth Health is hiring a Radiology Technical Aide for its Radiology Diagnostic department in New London, Merrimack County — a part-time opportunity to contribute directly to patient-centered diagnostic imaging care within a respected New Hampshire health system.

About the Role

As a Radiology Technical Aide, you'll work alongside radiologic technologists and radiologists to keep the diagnostic imaging department running efficiently. Your hands-on support ensures patients receive safe, timely, and comfortable imaging services from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.

What You'll Do

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the process, confirming identities, and addressing comfort needs
• Set up examination rooms and arrange equipment and supplies before and after each procedure
• Escort patients to and from imaging areas, including those with mobility limitations or stretchers
• Assist technologists with patient positioning under direct supervision
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked imaging rooms in accordance with departmental and infection-control standards
• Support department workflow by coordinating patient flow and communicating status updates to clinical staff
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and department compliance requirements
• Provide attentive, compassionate service that elevates the overall patient experience

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a clinical, hospital, or direct patient-care setting preferred
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology is an asset
• Current BLS/CPR certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
• Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and stand for extended periods
• Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to patient safety
