Role Overview
We are seeking a collaborative and energetic Election Protection Organizer to join our team in Indiana. This role is crucial for growing and diversifying our audience and volunteer base as we prepare for significant upcoming elections. Reporting to the State Director, Indiana, this full-time, temporary position will be based in Indianapolis with an expectation of traveling around the state at least two days per week during peak times.
What You'll Do
- Engage members in our Election Protection efforts and support recruitment and trainings for volunteers to serve as advocates for election administration, early voting, election day activities, and post-election activities.
- Support the development and leading of engaging Election Protection trainings for members, volunteers, and community partners.
- Participate in nonpartisan education and outreach activities to expand awareness of our work.
- Engage in state and/or multi-state campaigns and mobilizations to defend voting rights.
- Assist in developing and disseminating Election Protection-related educational resources.
What You Bring
You should bring a passion for protecting and strengthening democracy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with diverse communities. A proven track record of organizing and leading community-based initiatives is essential. Experience in voter engagement or related fields would be beneficial.
