In this essential role, you'll be the communication hub that keeps government operations and public safety systems functioning reliably and securely.
About the Role
As a Dispatcher at WillinghamWorks, you'll support critical operations for public sector agencies and government organizations. Based in Church Point, you'll take on responsibility for managing communications, directing personnel deployment, and maintaining the information flow that keeps operations moving—whether during routine activity or demanding situations.
What You'll Do
- Receive and respond to requests coming from the public and from personnel in the field
- Dispatch and coordinate field teams and responders to ensure effective deployment and support
- Document dispatch activities, communications, and operational details in required logs and records
- Track ongoing situations and relay real-time information to field units and supervisors
- Operate multiple communication channels while keeping your focus and composure
- Adhere to established operational protocols to maintain consistency and regulatory compliance
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience working as a dispatcher or in a comparable public safety communications position
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to stay focused and make sound decisions when facing pressure or time constraints
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfort and competence with computer systems and dispatch software applications
- Consistent, dependable work ethic and commitment to supporting mission-critical work
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior dispatch certification is a plus
