We're hiring a Director of Compliance to oversee our compliance program at our Illinois Medical District headquarters in Chicago. This senior role offers substantial independence and the opportunity to shape how we maintain the highest standards of integrity across a major business unit.

About the Role

As Director of Compliance, you'll serve as a senior member of our Medical Compliance organization, accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive compliance program across a complex, large-scale business unit. You'll report directly to senior leadership, with the autonomy to establish compliance priorities, drive strategic initiatives, and embed a culture of regulatory adherence throughout your division.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain compliance program strategy aligned with business objectives and enterprise risk tolerance
  • Oversee compliance assessments and audits; identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs; monitor employee understanding and adherence
  • Manage investigations into potential violations; recommend corrective actions and process improvements
  • Collaborate across legal, quality, clinical affairs, and business units to ensure regulatory alignment
  • Monitor evolving healthcare regulations and medical device compliance requirements; adapt policies accordingly
  • Report compliance metrics and risk status to executive leadership and the board

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of healthcare or medical device compliance experience in a leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated expertise in FDA regulations, medical device laws, and healthcare compliance frameworks
  • Strong track record building and scaling compliance programs in complex organizations
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate regulatory requirements into business practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Sound judgment and integrity; ability to challenge the business constructively on risk
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or compliance certification preferred
