The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium is hiring a full-time Director of Academics in Montgomery, Ohio to lead academic excellence across our growing network of charter schools. About the Role
As Director of Academics, you'll provide strategic leadership and vision for academic programs across the organization. You'll collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and staff to develop comprehensive curricula, implement evidence-based instructional practices, and establish accountability systems that drive meaningful student outcomes. This position requires a passion for educational excellence, a commitment to equity and student success, and the ability to build partnerships that strengthen academic rigor and create nurturing learning communities.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and refine academic standards and curricula aligned with state requirements and best practices
- Support teachers through professional development, instructional coaching, and resources that enhance classroom instruction
- Establish assessment systems and use data to monitor student progress, identify gaps, and inform continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with school administrators to ensure consistency in academic quality and student engagement
- Champion equitable practices that ensure all students, including those with diverse learning needs, receive high-quality instruction
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning across the network
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in K–12 education, including curriculum development or instructional leadership
- Expertise in standards-based curriculum design and data-driven instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and creating inclusive learning environments
- Leadership experience in charter schools preferred
