About the Role
As Director of Consulting for Life & Specialty Insurance, you'll lead strategic client partnerships and consulting initiatives that modernize core insurance operations and technology infrastructure. You'll combine deep insurance domain expertise with technology vision to shape how Kyndryl serves the life insurance, specialty insurance, and related sectors. This role carries responsibility for revenue growth, client satisfaction, and team excellence across your consulting book of business.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute client strategies that align technology modernization with business objectives in life and specialty insurance markets
- Lead cross-functional consulting teams to design, propose, and deliver complex enterprise solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the insurance sector; manage and expand existing client relationships
- Drive thought leadership and industry positioning through publishing, speaking, and client advisory activities
- Mentor and develop directors and senior consultants on your team; build a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Collaborate with Kyndryl's service delivery, engineering, and account management teams to ensure client success
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of insurance industry experience, with at least 5 years in a consulting, advisory, or leadership role
- Deep knowledge of life insurance, specialty insurance, or related segments (claims, underwriting, policy administration, distribution)
- Proven track record of managing and growing consulting practices or professional services revenue
- Strong ability to translate insurance business challenges into technology and process improvements
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to influence senior executives
- Leadership experience building, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams
