About the Role
LMI is seeking a Data Scientist to strengthen partnerships with the Intelligence Community through data-driven insights and analytical innovation. In this full-time position, you'll apply statistical modeling and machine learning to classified datasets, collaborating with intelligence professionals and government leaders to transform data into actionable intelligence that informs critical decisions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models to solve intelligence challenges
- Analyze complex, multi-source datasets to uncover patterns and strategic insights
- Build reproducible analytical pipelines and automated reporting systems
- Communicate technical findings to diverse audiences through clear visualizations and written analysis
- Collaborate with intelligence analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Document methodologies and assumptions to ensure transparency and auditability
What We're Looking For
- Current or ability to obtain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
- Willingness and eligibility to undergo polygraph examination
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning
- Experience with sensitive or classified data (government, defense, or intelligence sector preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
