Role Overview
Cologix is seeking a Data Center Electrician for its temporary position in Columbus, Ohio. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the data center's infrastructure components including mechanical systems such as chillers, CRAH, CRAC, pumps, condensers, and electrical systems like UPS, generators, ATS, batteries, and DC plants.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and operate mechanical systems including chillers, CRAH, CRAC, pumps, and condensers
- Operate and maintain electrical systems such as UPS, generators, ATS, batteries, and DC plants
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment in compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Participate in emergency response procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Data Center Electrician or similar role
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in data centers
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
