About This Position

As a Culinary Lead at Sur La Table in Canton, Connecticut, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our store by inspiring customers throughout their culinary journey. You'll combine your expertise in cooking with business acumen and teaching skills to drive sales, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and build a high-performing team.

• Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development of a high-performing team
• Lead, coach, and inspire associates to exceed performance expectations and foster a positive team culture
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement. Communicate performance issues directly to the General Manager/Store Manager.
• Create memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty

Key Responsibilities

• Support the culinary program and drive sales by providing exceptional customer experiences
• Help build and manage a high-performing culinary team to meet store needs
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture through engaging, educational interactions with customers

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the culinary industry, preferably in a leadership role
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coach and mentor team members
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales through customer engagement
• Passion for cooking and sharing knowledge with others
