Colorado State University in Fort Collins is hiring full-time Counselors for its Youth Sport Camps program. In this hands-on role, you'll work with youth during intensive summer programs, leading sports instruction and activities while building a supportive, energetic camp environment where young athletes develop skills and confidence.
About the Role
As a Youth Sport Camps Counselor at CSU's Larimer County location, you'll deliver high-energy instruction across multiple sports and recreational activities throughout the summer season. This full-time position places you at the center of a youth development mission, where your leadership directly shapes campers' athletic growth and summer experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily sports instruction and skill-building activities tailored to youth skill levels
- Manage camper groups during games, drills, and recreational programming
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment and enforce camp safety protocols
- Mentor and encourage youth participants, modeling sportsmanship and positive behavior
- Collaborate with coaching staff and fellow counselors to deliver cohesive camp experiences
- Assess camper progress and adapt activities to meet diverse developmental needs
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated coaching experience, playing background, or certified youth sports training
- Strong knowledge of one or more sports disciplines
- Exceptional communication and mentoring abilities with children and teens
- Commitment to youth safety, inclusion, and positive development
- High energy, reliability, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
