Corporate Senior Tax Manager

NorthPoint Search Group is recruiting a Corporate Senior Tax Manager for a global manufacturing leader based in Dunwoody, North Atlanta. This is a full-time, on-site position leading critical tax accounting and financial reporting functions for a $4 billion revenue company.

About the Role

Your mission is to direct all aspects of ASC 740 income tax accounting and provision processes for a growing finance team. You'll be the strategic owner of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, deferred tax asset and liability management, and valuation allowance assessments. This role combines deep technical accounting expertise with leadership of a nine-person team, positioning you at the intersection of corporate finance and tax strategy.

What You'll Do

• Lead the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all reporting deadlines
• Manage deferred tax accounts, review valuation allowances, and assess uncertain tax positions under ASC 740-10
• Develop and implement tax accounting policies aligned with GAAP and corporate governance standards
• Mentor and direct a team of nine tax and accounting professionals, fostering technical growth and process improvement
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax counsel, and corporate finance leadership on tax planning and compliance matters
• Evaluate the tax implications of business transactions and M&A activity
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with evolving tax accounting standards

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of tax accounting experience, with at least 5 years in ASC 740 provision and deferred tax management
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting teams
• Mastery of income tax accounting standards, multistate and international tax considerations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to technical detail
• Excellent communication skills for presenting tax matters to senior management and external stakeholders
• CPA license strongly preferred; tax accounting designation a plus
