About the Role
The Coordinator – School Services at TWoA is a full-time position based in Hamilton, Waikato. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing school-based education initiatives that align with our kaupapa Māori values and mission of 'tauira success'. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various educational programs, ensuring they are culturally responsive and inclusive.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement culturally relevant school-based education programs that support the vision of ‘whānau transformation through education’.
- Collaborate with schools, educators, and community partners to ensure effective program delivery and student engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of educational initiatives, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Support the development of culturally responsive teaching practices among school staff and students.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record in education or a related field with experience in coordinating programs that support Māori learners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of kaupapa Māori principles and values, including te reo Māori where applicable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with schools, educators, and community partners.
- A commitment to whānau-centred education and the well-being of students and their families.
