About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High Intensity Outside School Hours Care Coordinator to join our team at Yooralla in Ascot Vale. This role is part-time (0.8 EFT) with responsibilities including after-school care from 3:00pm – 6:00pm and vacation care from 9:00am – 5:00pm, which includes weekly administrative time.
- Provide high-quality care for children during out-of-school hours
- Support the development of a positive and safe environment for children
- Collaborate with teachers and families to ensure seamless transitions between school and care
- Manage daily operations, including planning activities and maintaining records
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The role involves leading a team of outside school hours carers, ensuring that children receive the best possible care during out-of-school hours. You will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities, managing daily operations, and maintaining strong communication with families and educators.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a passionate and experienced coordinator who can inspire and lead a team of outside school hours carers. Key requirements include:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in early childhood education or a related field
- Proven experience as an outside school hours care coordinator or similar role
