What You'll Do

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses for commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex contractual and business disputes.
• Assist with deposition preparation, witness interviews, and exhibit organization.
• Participate in strategy meetings, case assessments, and settlement discussions.
• Support trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs and preparing witness outlines.
• Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with procedural rules.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop effective litigation approaches.

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar admission.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong drafting skills with demonstrated ability to produce clear, persuasive pleadings and motions.
• Excellent analytical and research capabilities, with attention to detail.
• Comfortable participating in depositions, hearings, and, when appropriate, trial proceedings.
• Effective communicator who can interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within litigation practice.
