Role Overview

Join us as a Commercial General Liability Claim Adjuster at Davies North America. As part of our team, you will handle and supervise complex and litigated liability and property claims. Your responsibilities include investigating coverage, liability, and damages; negotiating with contractors, public adjusters, and attorneys throughout the claim lifecycle. You'll maintain a 100% pending and closing ratio, establish and manage reserves, prepare written status and large loss reports, and communicate effectively with your manager as well as internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims
• Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients
• Able to interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage
• Plan, organize, and establish priorities under critical deadlines
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary
• Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims
• Provide monetary authority and strategy to ensure client's money and claims are protected
• Familiar with current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation
• Evaluate and determine coverage for claims

Qualifications

We seek candidates who have a bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field. Experience as a claim adjuster is preferred, but not required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Strong negotiation and organizational abilities are necessary to manage multiple claims effectively under tight deadlines.
