Coding for Kids Instructor

Join Impact Kids as a Coding for Kids Instructor based in Dunlap, Peoria County. This is a full-time position teaching programming and coding fundamentals to elementary and middle school students across our nationwide enrichment program network.

The Opportunity

Impact Kids is seeking an enthusiastic Coding for Kids Instructor to inspire young learners and introduce them to the world of programming. For over five years, we've been delivering safe, engaging, and meaningful enrichment programs to students in public and private schools nationwide. As a Coding for Kids Instructor, you'll play a vital role in our mission to develop computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in the next generation of tech innovators.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Teach coding concepts and programming fundamentals using age-appropriate tools and platforms
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to different skill levels and learning styles
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to participate
• Guide students through hands-on coding projects and collaborative problem-solving activities
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction based on individual needs
• Manage classroom dynamics and maintain a positive, safe learning space
• Collaborate with school staff and Impact Kids team members to ensure program quality
