Join Bright Harbor Healthcare as a Clinician in Toms River, Ocean County in this full-time position supporting families navigating housing instability and homelessness. You'll work directly with families involved with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, helping to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placements and supporting reunification goals through our evidence-based Keeping Families Together program.
About the Role
The Keeping Families Together program is designed to support families experiencing homelessness and housing instability by combining clinical services with practical housing assistance. Using a housing-first approach, we work with families to secure stable, subsidized housing while helping them overcome the challenges that impact family stability and child welfare outcomes. As a Clinician, you will be a key member of this team, applying your clinical expertise to help families achieve lasting stability and maintain family connections.
What You'll Do
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide counseling to families in the child welfare system
- Develop individualized service plans focused on housing stability and family reunification
- Help families navigate the process of securing stable, subsidized housing
- Identify and help families overcome barriers to stability, including financial and logistical challenges
- Partner with DCPP case managers and community partners to ensure coordinated family-centered support
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
- Connect families with community resources and additional support services as needed
What We're Looking For
- Clinical experience working with families in the child welfare system
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and housing-first approaches
- Strong assessment and case planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Compassion for vulnerable families and commitment to family preservation
- Ability to work collaboratively with community partners and agencies
- Professional credentials appropriate for clinical practice in New Jersey
