Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing therapeutic activities designed to improve social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Engage in direct care, including supervision, guidance, and support for children and youth in various settings.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of interactions, behaviors, and progress of each individual under your care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to the unique needs of each child or youth.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals in your care by adhering to established policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and youth, particularly those facing challenges such as trauma, mental health issues, or developmental delays.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues.
• The ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations and to provide consistent, empathetic care.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
