Center Account Manager, Cystic Fibrosis (Midwest – Michigan and Illinois)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals, headquartered in Boston, is seeking a Center Account Manager to drive cystic fibrosis market strategy and clinical partnerships across Michigan and Illinois. This full-time position is designed for an experienced sales professional ready to expand Vertex's impact in the Midwest cystic fibrosis market.

About the Role

As a Center Account Manager for Cystic Fibrosis, you'll be responsible for achieving Vertex's regional commercial and strategic objectives across Michigan and Illinois. You'll develop territory plans, foster relationships with healthcare providers and medical centers, and ensure that clinicians and organizations have the resources and knowledge to administer Vertex's innovative CF therapies effectively.

What You'll Do

• Create and execute a strategic business plan for your assigned Michigan and Illinois territory to achieve sales targets
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare professionals, care centers, and clinical opinion leaders
• Communicate product benefits and disease management expertise to healthcare providers and medical institutions
• Identify and pursue market opportunities to drive increased adoption of Vertex cystic fibrosis treatments
• Travel consistently across Michigan and Illinois to support customer relationships and account objectives
• Collaborate with internal Vertex teams to optimize customer service and territory performance

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences sales and account management
• Strong ability to articulate complex medical concepts to healthcare professionals and organizational decision-makers
• Strategic planning capability with demonstrated success managing territory expansion and revenue targets
• Comfort with regular travel throughout assigned Midwest territories
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Preference for candidates residing in Michigan or Illinois or willing to relocate to the region
