Role Overview

As a CDL-A truck driver with Heartland Express, you'll operate a dry van for dedicated regional runs, returning home every week. This is a full-time position focused on no-touch freight, meaning you'll work with modern logistics partners and shippers who handle loading and unloading, allowing you to focus on professional, safe driving and on-time delivery. You'll be part of a company committed to driver stability and predictable schedules.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate a dry van safely across designated regional routes
• Maintain vehicle logs, inspections, and safety documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
• Coordinate with dispatchers and freight partners to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain professional communication with shippers, receivers, and company dispatch
• Uphold safety protocols and company standards on every load

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license (required)
• Minimum six months of professional truck driving experience
• Clean driving record and willingness to pass DOT medical certification
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with DOT regulations
• Reliability and professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently while meeting delivery deadlines
