About the Role

As a lease-purchase driver with Western Express, you'll operate a commercial dry van on over-the-road (OTR) and regional routes, maintaining full operational independence while benefiting from company support. This role combines the entrepreneurial appeal of truck ownership with the structure and backing of an established carrier. Start date is ASAP for qualified candidates.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer on assigned OTR and regional routes throughout the country
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain detailed maintenance documentation
• Load, secure, and transport dry cargo to customer destinations on schedule
• Maintain accurate electronic logbooks in compliance with DOT hours-of-service regulations
• Monitor vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and coordinate repairs as needed
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and other team members
• Adhere to all safety protocols and federal transportation compliance standards

What We're Looking For

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Passing DOT physical examination and background screening
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and professional conduct
• Age 21 or older
• Reliable communication and problem-solving abilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in truck ownership
