About the Role
This is a company driver position in the Western Express Dry Van division, running over-the-road routes. Western Express has immediate openings and is looking for professional CDL-A holders who want real miles and a straightforward pay structure that rewards time behind the wheel.
What You'll Do
- Operate a dry van tractor-trailer on OTR runs as a company driver
- Safely transport freight across assigned lanes in compliance with federal DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and delivery updates
- Handle drop-and-hook and live-load freight as assigned
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all Hours of Service requirements
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Willingness to run over-the-road routes out of the Brentwood, TN area
- Clean MVR and satisfactory safety record
- Ability to meet DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong commitment to on-time delivery and professional conduct
- Experience with dry van freight preferred; recent graduates may be considered
