The Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced CDL-A Over the Road (OTR) drivers to join our team at Big M Diesel Express. This is a full-time position based in Lake Charles, Louisiana. As a company driver with us, you will be responsible for operating dry van trailers across various routes under the supervision of a dispatcher.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver freight to designated locations as per the assigned route
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
- Follow company procedures for safety, maintenance, and record-keeping
- Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding status updates and any issues encountered during transit
- Adhere to all federal and state regulations related to commercial driving
What We're Looking For
We are looking for drivers who have at least one year of experience as a CDL-A holder. A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle long hours on the road are essential. You must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with an appropriate endorsement.
