Position Summary
At Knowmore, we are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our team during the final stage of the National Redress Scheme. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity where you will play a crucial role in supporting survivors by helping them understand their options and access legal advice. The position can be based at any of our offices or remotely, providing flexibility for your work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of applications under the National Redress Scheme to ensure timely and accurate handling.
- Provide legal support and advice to survivors, ensuring they are well-informed about their rights and options.
- Conduct research on relevant laws, policies, and procedures to provide comprehensive information to survivors.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop strategies for supporting survivors effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in law or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in legal support, paralegal work, or similar roles would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with survivors.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
