The Lamar University Bookstore is more than a place to buy textbooks — it's a central part of campus life. As a Campus Retail Associate, you'll be on the front lines of that experience, helping students find what they need, keeping the floor running smoothly, and contributing to a store environment where every customer interaction counts. This is a temporary, full-time position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail setting and genuinely enjoys working with people.

What You'll Do

• Deliver attentive, friendly customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors
• Assist customers in locating textbooks, course materials, and general merchandise
• Process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately at the point of sale
• Stock, organize, and merchandise product displays to maintain a clean, shoppable floor
• Support high-volume rush periods at the start of semesters with efficiency and a positive attitude
• Perform opening and closing store tasks as assigned
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily operational goals

What We're Looking For

• A customer-first mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Prior retail, customer service, or cashiering experience is a plus
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card transactions
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout a full shift
• Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to a changing store environment
• Availability that aligns with the store's scheduling needs during the temporary assignment
• A genuine interest in supporting the academic community at Lamar University
