About the Role

This is a full-time locum tenens position in the intensive care unit, serving as a physician leader in critical patient care. You'll work night shifts managing a patient census of 15 to 20 ICU patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role offers the flexibility of a temporary assignment while contributing meaningfully to patient outcomes in a busy critical care environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct physician care for ICU patients, including airway management and intubations
• Lead clinical decision-making for critically ill patients across multiple diagnoses
• Manage overnight ICU operations with a moderate to high patient load
• Collaborate with nursing staff and ancillary services to optimize patient care
• Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the hospital's electronic health record system
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

What You Bring

• Board certification or board-eligible status in Critical Care Medicine
• Current ACLS certification
• Active medical license in Georgia
• Established or eligible hospital privileges in critical care
• Demonstrated competency in airway management and intubation procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently on night shift
