Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial plans supporting the Small Business Program's operational needs
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial performance reviews to optimize resource allocation and program efficiency
• Prepare accurate financial reports, variance analyses, and executive summaries for internal and federal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with federal accounting standards, ARPA-H policies, and Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) requirements
• Manage grant allocations, track expenditures, and maintain detailed financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with program managers and department heads to align financial strategy with organizational objectives

What You Bring

• Public Trust security clearance (required)
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or related field
• Strong proficiency with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal contracting, grant management, or government accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial data to diverse audiences
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial management systems
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or closely related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
