The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Engagement and Grants Officer to join our Economic Development team at rated traders ltd. This full-time role is based in Esher, Surrey, UK, and involves supporting the vitality, resilience, and long-term success of Elmbridge’s economy through projects and partnerships that strengthen local centres.

Responsibilities

• Supporting independent businesses, SMEs, and town and village centre high streets to thrive in the local economy.
• Leading on projects and partnerships aimed at enhancing the economic landscape of Elmbridge.
• Developing and managing grants and funding opportunities for eligible businesses and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant field such as Business Studies, Economics, or Public Policy is desirable but not essential.
• Proven experience in business support roles, preferably within the context of economic development or community engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders including businesses, community groups, and local authorities.
• Adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
