Position Summary

The Airport Safety Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, efficiency, and compliance of Coffs Harbour Airport. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time position ensures that all hazards and facility unserviceability issues are reported promptly to minimize risks to aviation safety.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure aerodrome environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards.
• Supervise airfield positions such as the Works Safety Officer and Wildlife Management personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations and standards.
• Minimize risks to aviation safety through proactive hazard management practices.
