About the Role
Yesway seeks an experienced Business Attorney to serve as a trusted legal advisor on corporate and securities matters. You'll partner with our executive leadership and board to navigate complex legal issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our continued growth as an award-winning convenience store operator.
What You'll Do
- Counsel on securities law compliance, regulatory filings, and capital markets matters
- Advise on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and entity structuring
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and business contracts
- Support board governance, shareholder communications, and compliance frameworks
- Maintain relationships with external counsel and regulatory agencies
- Monitor and interpret evolving securities regulations affecting our business
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with active Texas bar license
- 5+ years of experience in securities law, corporate counsel, or business transactions
- Deep knowledge of securities regulations and corporate governance standards
- Proficiency in contract drafting and commercial negotiation
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Collaborative approach to working with senior management and stakeholders
- Strong professional judgment and attention to detail
