About the Role
Our Facility Services team is looking for someone committed to maintaining building systems and ensuring our spaces operate at peak performance. As a Building Maintenance technician, you'll take ownership of preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections that keep our Westland location running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend system lifespan
- Respond to maintenance requests and repair issues promptly to maintain safe, comfortable work environments
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders for compliance and record-keeping
- Coordinate with facility teams and contractors to complete larger maintenance projects
- Ensure all work adheres to building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Troubleshoot building system malfunctions and implement solutions efficiently
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in building maintenance, facility services, or a related maintenance field
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or general facility equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and maintenance schedules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safe work environments
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to respond to facility needs
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
