Bilingual Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a full-time Bilingual Phlebotomist to join our Dallas, TX location. In this essential laboratory role, you will perform venipuncture and specimen collection while providing compassionate, professional service to patients in both English and Spanish.

What This Role Involves

As a Bilingual Phlebotomist at Labcorp in Dallas, you'll be the first point of contact for many patients visiting our collection facility. Your work directly supports diagnostic testing and patient care by reliably collecting, processing, and preparing blood and other specimens. You'll work in a fast-paced clinical environment where attention to detail, patient communication skills, and bilingual proficiency are equally valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients using venipuncture techniques while following established protocols and safety standards
• Communicate clearly with patients in English and Spanish, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure a positive experience
• Label, prepare, and process specimens accurately to maintain specimen integrity and traceability
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of work areas, collection chairs, and equipment according to laboratory standards
• Record patient information and collection details accurately in laboratory information systems
• Follow all OSHA, CLIA, and facility safety protocols to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
• Phlebotomy certification or equivalent clinical training
• Proven ability to draw blood safely and accurately with minimal discomfort to patients
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both languages
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in specimen handling
• Ability to work independently and as part of a laboratory team
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
