About the Role
As a Litigation Paralegal specializing in personal injury cases, you will own the end-to-end management of client matters, from initial intake through trial preparation and resolution. Working alongside one attorney and a peer paralegal, you will build strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel while maintaining the organizational excellence required in fast-paced litigation practice.
What You'll Do
- Oversee both prelitigation and active litigation cases across all phases of dispute resolution
- Prepare and organize case files, discovery documents, and evidence for attorney review and trial
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents under attorney supervision
- Manage client communications, intake interviews, and status updates with professionalism and cultural competence
- Coordinate with medical providers, adjusters, and expert witnesses to advance case strategy
- Maintain accurate billing records, client files, and case timelines
- Perform legal research and factual investigation to support case development
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) — essential for client communication
- Proven experience as a paralegal in personal injury litigation
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently while meeting strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with clients and legal professionals
- Knowledge of New Jersey civil procedure and personal injury law preferred
